| At 7:21 PM, our department was alerted for trash cans on fire on Taylor Alley in the area of the Gay Street Memorial Bridge (aka "The High Bridge"). The caller reported two trash cans were on fire.
A crew with ladder 65 responded to the incident. Firefighters arrived to find the remnants of two trash toters on fire in a private parking area to the rear of a house on Mill Street (historically known as Nailer's Row). A pressurized-water extinguisher and a "trash line" were used to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Crews cleared the scene in 20 minutes. |
