Yesterday and today, our department was alerted for a total of nine incidents. The breakdown of incidents is:

1 Assist the Ambulance
1 BBQ Grill Fire
1 Brush Fire
2 Cardiac Arrests

2 Vehicle Crashes

One of the vehicle crashes and the odor investigation were in Upper Providence Township. The remaining incidents were in Phoenixville Borough. Below are details from a couple of the incidents.

At 11:12 AM today, our department and West End Ambulance of Phoenixville were alerted for a crash involving a motorcycle on Kimberton Road (Route 113) at Pennsylvania Avenue. Rescue and Chief 65 responded on the assignment. Crews arrived to find a motorcyclist inured in the roadway. Firefighters assisted with patient care and closing the roadway. The injured operator was transported to Paoli Hospital. Fire crews cleared the scene after about 45 minutes.

At 2:24 PM today, our department was alerted for a brush fire in front of the CubeSmart on Nutt Road (Route 23). Rescue, Chief and Squad 65 responded on the assignment. Firefighters arrived to find a small area of grass and bushes on fire. The fire was quickly extinguished. Crews cleared the scene after topping-off the water tank in the Rescue.

In between calls, we were working on moving and assembling new gear racks into our new firehouse which is still under construction. Thank you to the Public Works Department for transporting the pallets of gear rack parts.
