At 10:48 AM, our department and first-alarm companies were alerted for smoke in a condominium in the Caines Creek development. Upon arrival of fire crews, Phoenixville Police advised the smoke was actually coming from a different unit than had been originally reported, and there was a dryer on fire but was now reported to be out. The resident had successfully deployed a fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire.

Crews entered the residence to find a smoke condition and confirmed the fire was extinguished. Upon further investigation, the assignment was held to fire apparatus already on-scene - apparatus still enroute to the scene were recalled. Positive pressure ventilation was used to clear the smoke from the residence.

Crews cleared the scene after about 15 minutes.
