At 1:45 PM, our department and West End Ambulance were alerted for a vehicle crash on Black Rock Road (Route 113) in the area of Black Rock Sanctuary. Rescue and Ladder 65 responded on the assignment. Crews arrived to find a single vehicle crash, car versus a utility pole.

A medic was requested due to symptoms exhibited by the operator of the vehicle. The patient was transported to a hospital for further evaluation. Firefighters contained fluids leaking from the vehicle and assisted with traffic control. PECO was notified for minor damage to their pole. Fire units cleared the scene after about 40 minutes.
