Earlier this week, Phoenixville Mayor Peter Urscheler and U.S. Representative Chrissy Houlahan gathered with community leaders and first responders to reflect upon the destruction caused by the remnants of Hurricane Ida one year ago. Community volunteers, elected officials, first responders, public works personnel and others who were involved with the response and recovery effort were invited to the event.

The event included remarks from both Houlahan and Urscheler, as well as a local resident who lost everything in the flooding, Phoenixville Fire Chief Eamon Brazunas, Phoenixville Community Health Foundation President/CEO Tamela Luce, Phoenixville Emergency Management Coordinator Karin Williams, and Father Peter Paproski of Holy Ghost Orthodox Church. Following the remarks, attendees discussed the FEMA application process and then concluded with a tour of the new fire station.
