At 1:23 PM, our department and first-alarm mutual aid companies were alerted for a townhome fire in the Steelpointe development. Flames were reported coming from a house under construction.

Chief 65 arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the end unit of a three-story, five-unit stacked townhome building. The building was still under construction however a fire sprinkler system was activated. Firefighters deployed two hose lines to extinguish the remaining fire and laddered the building. The fire was deemed under control within 15 minutes.

Units from Berwyn and Kimberton were held on-scene for a period of time to cover any additional emergencies in the area.

Crews cleared the scene in under an hour.
