At 6:12 PM, our department and TowerDirect EMS were alerted to assist Phoenixville Police with a rescue at the McDonald's on Nutt Road.

Rescue 65 and MICU65-1 responded on the assignment. Firefighters arrived to find an occupied vehicle in a landscape bed with one wheel over the edge of an approximate 6-foot retaining wall. Additional personnel and an engine from Kimberton Fire Company were requested to the scene. Firefighters used the winches on Rescue 65 and a tow truck from Pejey's Auto Body to secure the vehicle so the driver could safely be removed onto a backboard. The driver was transported by ambulance to Paoli Hospital.

Fire personnel cleared the scene after about 20 minutes.
