At 10:29 AM, our department was alerted for an engine to assist UPT Fire & Emergency Services with a house fire on 2nd Avenue in the Mont Clare section of Upper Providence Township. The caller reported the electric service line was arcing and burning the area along the roofline.

Chief, Rescue and Ladder 65 responded on the assignment. Ladder 65 was positioned and setup on the "D" side of the house. Phoenixville crews assisted inside the house checking for any extension of fire to the interior of the house. Firefighters had to wait for a PECO crew to arrive and de-energize electric service before the area around the damaged service line could be opened up and the fire fully extinguished.

Our units cleared the scene after about an hour and 45 minutes.
