At 3:25 PM, our department and first-alarm companies were alerted for a house fire on the 1100 block of Callowhill Street. The caller reported their house was on fire.

Chief, Rescue, Ladder, Utility 65-1, and MICU 65-2 responded to the incident. Crews arrived to find smoke coming from the house. There was fire to the rear on the exterior trim and wall between a window and entry door. Firefighters stretched a 1.75" hand line and extinguished the flames. The wall was opened up to ensure any hidden fire was extinguished. The assignment was held to Phoenixville units and the engine from UPT Fire & Emergency Services which had arrived on location, the other mutual-aid companies were recalled. The Chester County Fire Marshal's Office responded to investigate the cause of the fire.

No injuries were reported. The last fire units cleared the scene in a little over an hour.
