At 10:36 AM, our department and first-alarm mutual aid companies were alerted for a building fire at Stable 12 Brewing Company on Bridge Street. The caller reported gray smoke in the building but did not see any flames.

Chief, Engine, Ladder, and MICU 65-1 responded to the incident. Chief 65 arrived to find nothing evident from the exterior of the building. Firefighters investigated the cause of the smoke and odor and located a clothes dryer that had caught fire. A pressurized water extinguisher was used to extinguish the smoldering remains. Metal buckets were used to remove the contents from the dryer. The contents and the dryer were removed from the building. Fans were used to clear smoke from the building. Units from Berwyn Fire Company and Black Rock Vol Fire Co., were recalled prior to their arrival.

The fire was determined to be accidental in nature. There was no impact to the restaurant area of the building. The last crews cleared the scene after about 35 minutes.
