ASSISTANT 65 

Keith J. Bliss has been employed with the Phoenixville Fire Department since 2003 as a full-time employee. Keith has served as an Engineer, Sergeant and Captain before being promoted to the rank of Assistant Chief in 2023.

Keith began his career at the age of 16 as a junior firefighter in his hometown of Spring City Borough. He also enlisted in the United States Navy as a Damage Controlman (Shipboard Firefighter) from 1994 - 1997. Keith currently serves as the Chief of his local volunteer fire company - Liberty Steam Fire Company No. 1.

During his public safety career he has obtained many certifications including Firefighter I and II, Emergency Medical Technician, Fire Officer I, Fire Inspector I, Driver Operator Pumper and Aerial, and most recently Fire Investigator. Keith also holds numerous technical rescue certifications in water rescue and confined space rescue.

Keith lives with his wife Jodi whom he married in 2007 after being together for almost 8 years prior. They have four children and reside in Spring City Borough.
