Andrew Demshak-Geddes has successfully completed Essentials of Firefighting (Firefighter 1) training at the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety Fire Academy. Andrew recently graduated along with 27 other recruits of class 2401.
Firefighter 1 is a 188-hour entry-level national certification course our firefighters must complete before they may fight fire inside a burning structure. In addition to various methods of fire suppression, recruits are also certified in hazardous materials operations, CPR and first aid.
Andrew joined our department in the fall of 2022. Prior to joining our department, Andrew worked alongside us for several years in his role as an EMT with the Phoenixville Division of Trappe Fire Co EMS/Freedom Valley Medical Rescue. Congratulations Andrew and thank you for choosing to serve your community!
Your Phoenixville Fire Department is a 'combination' department which means our team is a mix of paid and volunteer firefighters. We are always looking for new volunteers to serve as firefighters, fire police, medical responders or administration.
