| A group of our members traveled to Baltimore on Tuesday to attend the graduation ceremony of Brandon Fink. Brandon finished at the top of his class at the Baltimore City Fire Academy and was chosen as the class spokesperson. He will now be assigned to Truck 5, a tractor-drawn aerial in the East Baltimore Midway section of the city.
Brandon was born and raised in the Phoenixville area. He is the fourth generation in his family to become a firefighter, and the third generation to serve with the Phoenixville Fire Department. His father Matt was a past chief of our department in the early 2000s, his grandfather Tom served as chief in the 1970s, and his great-grandfather Myron was a firefighter with the Reliance Fire Company in Philipsburg.
Brandon joined our department in 2018 as a volunteer junior firefighter and graduated from the Montgomery County (PA) Fire Academy in 2020. That same year, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve as an infantryman after graduating from Phoenixville Area High School.
We wish Brandon continued success as he begins his career with Truck 5 of Baltimore City Fire Department. |
