June 29, 2022

At 2 PM, our department and first-alarm companies were alerted for a house fire in the Eland Downe development. Chief 65 arrived with light smoke showing from the front of the two-story middle of the row townhome. Crews of Rescue and Ladder 65 quickly extinguished the fire that involved shrubbery and had extended into the siding of the townhome. The crew of Kimberton Tower 61 assisted with checking for extension and set-up a fan in the basement to clear smoke from the home.

Incoming mutual-aid units were recalled. Montco Upper Providence Engine 68 was rerouted to standby at our station to cover any additional emergencies in the area.

Chester County FMs investigated the cause of the fire per standard protocol. There were no civilian or fire responder injuries.

Units: Chief 65, Ladder 65, Rescue 65

Mutual Aid: Berwyn Fire Company, Kimberton Fire Company, Liberty Steam Fire Company, Upper Providence Fire & Emergency Services, & Trappe EMS - Phoenixville Division
