Your Phoenixville Fire Department responded to 662 calls for service in 2022. This represents an increase of 63 incidents over 2021, and a record for annual call volume.

This chart breaks down the incidents by type. While some of the types are self-explanatory, here are explanations and examples of others:
‣ Rescue & Emergency Medical Service: vehicle accidents, water rescues, assisting the ambulance
‣ Hazardous Condition (No Fire): carbon monoxide leaking from a heater, downed power lines, gasoline leak
‣ Service Call: assisting another agency such as the police department or assisting with a water leak
‣ Good Intent Call: someone reporting they see smoke coming from a house but it is found to be steam from a clothes dryer vent or FD being canceled before arriving on location
‣ Special Incident Type: non-emergency situation or complaint in which fire equipment is not normally needed, normally handled by a couple firefighters or a chief, example: neighbor complaints about smoke from a fire pit or chiminea.

The largest quantity of incidents was False Alarms & False Calls, followed closely by Rescue & Emergency Medical Service.
